Join a Community for Borderless Thinkers.
A way for nomads, expats, immigrants, refugees, third-culture kids or anyone else that feels inescapably foreign to support each other on Substack.
I'm starting a public chat for nomads, expats, immigrants, refugees, third-culture kids or anyone else that feels inescapably foreign. Share your stories and resources that promote borderless thinking. My goal is to form a community for those caught between cultures, share stories that limit polarization, increase cultural competence for international organizations, and support projects that create equal opportunity. I want to break down borders.
Part of being a global citizen is a willingness to understand different beliefs, so feel free to express your opinions. Remember that some cultures are more conflict-avoidant than others, but when commenting on my work, no necesitas tener pelos en la lengua. How to Understand Culture and WEIRD People, The Quick Culture Guide for Global Business, The Men Who Swallow, and Errores de un Guiri (Frases del Día).
I’ve included my articles to get a discussion going, but I want to cross-post and share your material, too. After all, it's WithoutBorders: Stories by the Inescapably Foreign, not WithoutBorders: Stories and shameless self-promotion by Nolan.
I’m new to Substack, so I hope we can build this community with some established Substack writers and podcasters.

Cool idea!
Hey Nolan, I think this is a great idea. The more networking we can all do the better off we all are.
I'll start by sharing our very first Substack newsletter from almost exactly two years ago. It's all about how we wound up being nomads.
