I think it’s one of the worst verses and ways of thinking that influenced so much of the shit we’re in today.

so don't stop at that way of thinking -it was written in a very laconic language and then things developed even from there very differently. and one is actively encouraged to interpret and learn and ask and explore

"dominion" really means more responsibility, as it should. yeah, you get some "fora" as we say in Russian. don't abuse it.

it's not less wise culture, let me tell you. It recognizes interconnectdness really well.

by the way so many fascinating experiments nowadays...they check different species, as to see how has sort of "self-awareness"..many, and now they found out ants do too.

I'd go excitedly into describing the experiment, but the comment's taking too long.

There are several books I read...well, okay, as I don't remember their names, won't help much)) but was dedicated to different animals...amazing read, it was.

If most of the religious leaders interpreted "dominion" as responsibility, I'd be all for it. Unfortunately, we can see that clearly wasn't the case in most Judeo-Christian societies. Of course, some people have interpreted the texts in beneficial ways.

I don't know those "Judeo-Christian" societies' leaders well enough, and even have a basic problem with "Judeo-Christian", but it's way out of this discussion's scope.

But any dominion is always a responsibility, if to think of it. Pity indeed that leaders (or not leaders, just people) choose not to see, or not to behave per, this very obvious obligation.
